Week of June 16, 2019

In your daily devotions this week pray for the Church of the Province of Myanmar; Holy Trinity Church in Collingswood, Ocean City, South River, Spring Lake and Wenonah; Trinity Cathedral in Trenton; Trinity Church in Asbury Park, Cranford, Matawan, Moorestown, Princeton, Red Bank, Rocky Hill, Swedesboro, Vincentown, and Woodbridge; St. Alban’s Church in New Brunswick; the members and ministry of the Committee of the Church Pension Fund; and Genevieve Bishop, Lorraine Harris, Marshall Shelly, Megan Thomas, Edwin Chinery, Robert Fitzpatrick, Robert Mikol, Stephanie Shockley, Michael Way, Maria Sanzo and Todd Foster, priests of our diocese.

The Flowers on the Altar are given to the greater glory of God and in loving memory of Harry Walker, husband of Betty Walker and father of Katie Walker; and Oliver Aftahi, grandson of Betty Walker.

June food drive - Suggested donations for June include beef stew, ravioli, chili, tuna and other canned meat and vegetables. As always, other items are also welcome. Thank you very much for your continued support of our food drive for the people served by the Christian Caring Center.

It's time to get the rectory ready for Reverend Valerie!  Thanks to the leadership of John Colaianni and a crew of hearty workers, the grounds have been cleaned up, but now it is time to work on the inside of the rectory.  We have painters giving it a fresh coat of paint, but we need help from parishioners to do a few other items.

Clean the window treatments.  Take them home and clean them in your time.  Bring back and have them ready by July 3.
Clean the bathrooms.
Vacuum, swiffer or otherwise clean the floors.
Clean the kitchen counters and appliances.
*Please note that cleaning will take place once the painters have finished, probably in early-mid July.  If you can help with one or more of these projects, please let Lisa know.

Help us welcome our new priest.  We invite you to write a few words of welcome for Reverend Valerie. There are supplies in the narthex; just write your welcome, sign your name, and leave it in the basket. We will put the welcome notes on the vestry bulletin board in Williams Hall for Reverend Valerie to see when she arrives.  Thank you.

Summer Photos - Our communications chair, Tiffany Myers, would like to encourage everyone to take and share photos of your vacations, days at the shore, social outings and sports events, churches you visit, even just relaxing at home, and to share your photos with us. It will be an online scrapbook for us all to enjoy. Please tag #stpeterssummer when you post your pictures to social media, or share them on our Facebook page (St. Peter's Episcopal Church - Medford, NJ), or email them to tiffany.myers@stpetersmedford.org.

We are in need of two more ushers for the first Sunday of each month at the 10:15 service.  If you are interested, please contact the office.

Grocery shopping with a cash card? Try it, you’ll like it!  The International Outreach Team thanks those who faithfully support St. Peter’s companionship with Redemption School, Haiti, by purchasing and using Acme or ShopRite cards. Both cards are available for sale after all services in denominations of $20.00, $50.00, and $100.00.
